4Minute’s seventh EP Act. 7 title song “Hate” is the theme song for any love relationship that has turned sour. The music video starts with sun rays shining through tall rose bushes as Gayoon, dressed in a bridal gown, walks amongst the bushes while calling her lover a liar. In the next scene, Hyuna walks in the desert and expresses the desire to end the romantic relationship with a lover because only hate remains in their relationship.

The song’s intensity builds up and reaches a climax at the main chorus line “I hate you!” The beat drops and 4minute boldly dances and tells their significant other to leave, making a statement that they can be fierce and independent girls.
