• Title: BANG!
  • Artist: DAOKO
  • Runtime: 4:01   Language: Japanese
  • Date: August 7, 2016

"BANG!" is the newest single from Japanese synthpop and rap artist Daoko. The setup of the "BANG!" MV is somewhat surreal, as a squad of police officers pull up and immediately leap into action as Daoko's dance team.

The song's English refrain, Love and Die, may be seen as a pun: over the course of the song Daoko shoots first herself and then her entire police team, but they all spring back a second later with their clothing dyed blue. The meaning of the strange blue dye is left up to the viewer to interpret. Daoko tells us in the song to look at her and her only (or face the death penalty), asking if we'll love her even if she lies.

Daoko's 2016 Aoiroshugi Tour ("青色主義" TOUR) begins in Japan for two days, September 9th & 16th and then in South Korea for two days, October 1st & 2nd.
