The happiness with the current lover is generally tremendous. However, have you ever bothered to care the feeling of your ex? In Janice Vidal's (衛蘭) newest single "Wounded" (驗傷), she spoke out for those forced out of the relationships, and mirrored their feelings opposite to the happiness.

Written by Albert Lin (林夕), the song started with a regret for not being able to meet the ex's new lover before breaking up, disclosing the reason for the heroine's wounded heart. Although she tried to convince herself that being single brought her freedom and ease, she still imaged seeing her ex-boyfriend around her when she got drunk. The wounds were so deep and painful, but she couldn't show her pain because they are invisible. She could only hope her ex feel her wound and show care for her, even with pity.

In the music video, Janice acted as a bystander, and witnessed her ex-boyfriend and his new girlfriend's sweet moments. Janice‘s lonely figure formed a strong contrast to the new couple's happiness, and released a sense of sadness and solitude, echoing the soul of the song. Together with Janice's just-right facial expression, the audience would have no doubt to feel Janice's wounded heart and got involved in her grief as the song played.

Who wouldn't call it a great song when it touched everyone's heart? We wish Janice a successful year with such an impressive start!
