• Title: Ephemeral Saturday Night (泡沫サタデーナイト!)

  • Runtime: 3:58   Language: Japanese
  • Date: May 29, 2016

"Ephemeral Saturday Night" is the newest single from Morning Musume '16. Like many of Morning Musume '16's MVs, "Ephemeral Saturday Night" has a theme: this time it is disco. The outfits and decor are shiny and bright, 1980s-style; with even the video transitions made retro to fit the era.

"Ephemeral Saturday Night" is about how things such as love, dreams are fleeting, like bubbles on water, and life is short; and so on the weekends we should go out, dance, and live life to the fullest. Even the fleetingness of their own song is made part of the theme, as one of the girls points out partway through the number that only 58 seconds of the video remain.

The song was written by Maisa Tsuno and arranged by Shunsuke Suzuki, and the string portion was arranged by Crusher Kimura. Morning Musume '16 is scheduled to perform live on May 28th, 2016 in Aichi and on May 31st, 2016 in Tokyo. These performances are the final shows of their Concert Tour Spring ~EMOTION IN MOTION~, and the May 31st show is also a Graduation Special for Kanon Suzuki.
