NU'EST came out with a well visually-made music video for the new song, Love Paint (Every Afternoon), featured from their 5th mini album, CANVAS. The song’s lyrics were created by NU’EST’s members along with Mafly and BUMZU. BUMZU also composed the song with Royal Dive who has was the arranger of the song. With such a team, the lyrics are written beautifully to go along with the theme of the album, which is a canvas.

The members sing about how this girl that they wish to love and protect brings life and color into their bleak lives. They want to paint a life where there is only her and them. She is beautiful and completes the canvas of their life. However, between the lines of the lyrics, there is some kind of nostalgia that brings a hint of sadness, especially when the guys sing how it makes them sad when the girl shines.

They also mention how they secretly watch her or follow her from behind. They have not exactly shown themselves to her yet. This would make sense since they are singing about a painting and a painting is not real, but an imagination of a world that they want to be in. This imagination or nostalgia can be seen visually from the music video which brings up the theme clearly with the five men draw their own love and their expression were also kind of solemn at the same time. Beside the pros of the MV, the song was upbeat while it has a smooth rhythm which is relaxing.
