To “break up” is painful, yet sometimes necessary. Shiga Lin released her new single, “Let Me Go” (一走了之), which depicts the painful process of a break up between a couple, where the man no longer loves his girlfriend.

Written by the famous lyricist, Riley Lam, the song lyrics express the man’s hesitation to break up, while the girlfriend is asking him to stop being kind and say it out, since he no longer loves her. This is narrated clearly in the MV, where the couple was seen in the car, and the man was struggling to break up with her. He had almost proposed to her, but fell in love with another woman, so he left the ring in the car and left the relationship as well.

This song was beautifully composed by Robin Chi, and brings the listeners through the emotions of the song with the melancholic melody. Shiga Lin will be holding her concert “Shiga VS Shiga Live 2016” in Hong Kong on August 13, 2016.
