"Smiley Days" is Shionoya Sayaka's newest single. The song has an upbeat tune, and an uplifiting meaning. The whole message of this song is no matter how different you are from your best friends, no matter how sad you are when they aren't there, when you're finally able to see them again it doesn't matter. You'll be having fun and smiling a lot. It also sends the message of your best friends knowing what's wrong with you, even though you try to pretend through texts that you're fine.

A line from the song says "I act tough with my texts, but you always know these tears I never show anyone." It's true in all of our lives that we have that one person, who know us better than we know ourselves and this song is trying to show that. If the going gets tough, your best friend has your back. The music video compliments this message nicely, showing Sayaka enjoys a day out with her best friends. Sayaka will be performing at the famous Tokyo Budokan on July 29th.
