• Title: Iris Light (アイリスライト)
  • Artist: SKY-HI
  • Runtime: 4:20   Language: Japanese
  • Date: January 31, 2016

Released as a single and included in the Cathartic album, “Iris Light” is composed and written by SKY-HI. In the beginning, SKY-HI stands still against a beautiful blue sky. As he stares into your soul, SKY-HI sings of the fulfillment and confidence his crush gives him when he is the reason why she smiles and says, “I’m so blessed”. We see glimpses of SKY-HI in the car, an ornament representing a couple hanging from the rearview mirror, and a pillow with the word “Love” in the backseat. However, SKY-HI later walks across an empty expanse of land while dragging a hammer behind him. He’s parked his car in no man’s land and devotes all his energy to smash every part of the car as blue paint squirts out of the cracks he’s created. In the end, he sets the car on fire and watches it burn.
