"Good-bye" is Superfly's newest single. Actor/voice actor Takayuki Yamada, who is also one half of musical duo JINTAKA, appears in the song's MV as the main character. He plays a man who is caught up in a memory of his youth, perhaps trying to recreate something of that day or perhaps trying to somehow send out a sign to the girl who appears in the memory. As he burns a flare in a dark city in remembrance of flares burnt on a beach afternoon long ago, fleeting shadows of his childhood companions and even the girl herself seem, for a moment, to be there with him.

"Good-bye" is a song about saying farewell, hoping you will see that person again someday. It is about love without fear of loss; and about how as long as you have felt deeply for someone, to be alive is not such a sad thing. The music artfully blends melancholy with an uplifting feeling, the same way that thinking of a far-away dear friend can bring you both sadness and happiness.

"Good-bye" will be featured as the theme song of Japanese film "Yamikin Ushijima-kun the Final" (闇金ウシジマくん ザ・ファイナル).
