• Title: Sayonara Hitori (さよならひとり)
  • Artist: Taemin
  • Runtime: 4:00   Language: Japanese
  • Date: July 17, 2016

Taemin, also a member of popular all-male kpop group SHINee, makes his Japan debut with the mini-album "Sayonara Hitori" (solitary goodbye) which contains the song of the same name. "Sayonara Hitori" is a melancholy song about the mixed emotions that come with a relationship that isn't quite over, but is on a course towards breaking up. The flowers in the video represent Taemin's lover, who is compared throughout to a beautiful flower in bloom.

The MV is impressively artistic. Taemin expresses the turbulence of a fading romance with a unique mixture that combines both the dancing styles usually associated with kpop boy bands and a very modern, interpretive style. As the scenery around him changes, the viewer can imagine a transition in the heart from loneliness to anger and, eventually, to calm. On July 18th, which is Taemin's birthday, he will hold a showcase to celebrate his Japanese debut.
